Gross cystic disease fluid protein-15 (GCDFP-15) is a secretory glycoprotein and is expressed in the acinic cells of the breast, salivary glands, sweat glands, and seminal vesicle. GCDFP-15 is often expressed in neoplastic cells of breast carcinomas (50-70%), mammary and extramammary Paget’s disease, sweat gland tumors (particularly apocrine), and salivary gland tumors.

is observed in this invasive ductal carcinoma of breast.

2-(1).jpg
Scattered cells in this ductal carcinoma of breast show weak to moderate cytoplasmic reactivity for GCDFP-15. Additionally, some reactive material is seen in extracellular spaces, particularly gland lumens.

3-(1).jpg
The appendiceal epithelium and underlying elements of the lamina propria, and muscularis, show no reactivity for GCDFP-15.
