Calretinin is a calcium-binding protein that is expressed in both central and peripheral neural tissues, mesothelium, eccrine glands of skin, Sertoli cells of the testis, ovarian stromal cells, and adrenal cortical cells.
Strong nuclear and cytoplasmic reactivity for calretinin is seen in this malignant mesothelioma.

Weak to moderate nuclear and cytoplasmic reacitivity for calretinin is seen in a patchy distribution in this sample of adrenal cortex.
