Sophisticated simplicity in high-capacity digital slide scanning
The NanoZoomer® S540 is designed to transform high-volume slide digitization with a combination of fast scanning speeds, flexible slide rack compatibility, and intuitive operation. With support for standard slide format racks and continuous loading, the S540 helps laboratories efficiently convert large numbers of glass slides into high-quality digital images with minimaloperator intervention.
Speed
The Nano Zoomer S540 delivers rapid whole slide scanning across both 20× and 40× modes, enabling efficient image capture inapproximately 30 seconds per slide (15x15 mm area). Its optimized scanning performance helps laboratories achieve highthroughput, more than 82 slides per hour, without compromising image quality.
Capacity & Workflow
Built for demanding workflows, the S540 supports up to 540 standard slides when paired with 30-slide racks or 360 slides with20-slide Sakura basket. Continuous loading lets users insert and exchange racks during scanning, reducing downtime. Anintuitive touchscreen interface simplifies scan control and monitoring directly at the instrument.
Image Quality & Integration
High-resolution optics, pre-focus mapping, and included Z-stack capability ensure detailed digital slide imagery. Integrated 1Dand 2D barcode reading supports slide traceability, while JPEG image compression balances image fidelity with manageabledigital storage.
