TORRANCE, CA – Sakura Finetek USA, Inc. today announced the launch of 3 new ready-to use antibodies and an antibody cocktail for the Tissue-Tek Genie
® Advanced Staining System.
“The launch of four new markers including a PIN antibody cocktail for prostate pathology, expands the clinical utility and value of the Genie Advanced Staining System.”, stated William Jennings, Senior Product Manager of Advanced Staining.
The 4 new products include:
- Tissue-Tek Genie® anti-CD57 Mouse Monoclonal Antibody [NK1]
- Tissue-Tek Genie® anti-ALK (Heme) Mouse Monoclonal Antibody [1A4]
- Tissue-Tek Genie® anti-IgG4 Mouse Monoclonal Antibody [HP6025]
- Tissue-Tek Genie® DUO anti-AMACR [13H4] / p63 [MX013] / CK5/6 [D5/16B4] PIN Antibody Cocktail
“The PIN (prostatic intraepithelial neoplasia) antibody cocktail of AMACR + p63 + High Molecular Weight Cytokeratins enable the simultaneous evaluation of prostate biopsies and the identification of cancerous foci on a single specimen section, using a two-chromogen staining protocol. It is useful for distinguishing benign and malignant proliferations in the prostate. This is an important and widely used biomarker and a valuable addition to our portfolio.”, said George Kennedy, Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing.
Like the wide range of antibodies launched previously, these 3 new antibodies and the antibody cocktail are provided in 2 formats to serve any laboratory size and workflow:
- Innovative single-use capsules that enable loading of any slide, any stain, any time, on any instrument.
- Cartridges with 250 tests for the 3 antibodies and with 100 tests for the antibody cocktail for high volume usage.

Genie allows users to realize flexibility, better economy, and faster turnaround time.
Fast to learn, easy to operate. The Genie Software uses intuitive graphics and two mouseclick navigation for simplified operation, and provides a comprehensive status at a glance. The replacement of bulk reagents and waste bottles is quick and strain-free.
