Sakura Finetek USA launches the Histo-Tek® Mini Stainer to automate the staining process for both Mohs Surgery and frozen sectioning.
TORRANCE, CA – Sakura Finetek USA, Inc. today announced the launch of the Histo-Tek® Mini Stainer, Linear Slide Stainer, expanding its broad portfolio of routine H&E slide stainers.
“The Histo-Tek Mini Stainer is ideal for hospital histology laboratories performing frozen sections and physician offices, especially those that conduct Mohs dermatological surgery” said George R. Kennedy, Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Sakura Finetek. “The small footprint of this compact stainer enables it to fit on most laboratory countertops making it a perfect addition to automate and standardize slide staining. The Histo-Tek Mini Stainer is also the perfect complement to the Tissue-Tek Cryo
3® Flex Cryostat and the Tissue-Tek Cryo3
® Flex Cryostat Mohs for fast, reproducible and high-quality sections”.
Its output tank holds four slide carriers, each with up to four slides for true walkaway convenience. Operators can focus on the patient samples and leave the staining to the Histo-Tek Mini Stainer for fast, reproducible stain results. In addition, the flexibility of connecting three rinse stations to fresh water provides crisp stained slides.
Simple programming enables the user to select the same station time for all protocol steps and reagents, from as little as 2 seconds up to 300 seconds. Small reagent containers also keep costs down by not requiring or wasting large volumes of reagents on single slide runs.
The Histo-Tek Mini Stainer was designed to provide safety for users by reducing exposure of hazardous staining reagents. To keep operators extra safe while using this stainer, a fume cover and a carbon filter accessory are provided standard with every unit.
